Ann: You know Tom, I’m not sure that school is the best place for education.
Tom: Not sure? Why? It is a traditional place where children do different subjects.
Ann: You are right, it is. But don’t you think that parents know their child much better and can have their own programmes to teach their son or daughter.
Tom: I don’t think it is always so. Parents are different. Not all of them can teach their children about the world and about the people.
Ann: It’s true. But schools start at about 8 o’clock in the morning. If your family lives far from the school, a child has to get up very early to be on time for his or her classes. At home children sleep longer hours. They have a lot of fun and enjoy their classes.
Tom: I know that in America quite a lot of children have classes at home but I don’t think that schooling at home is a good idea. At school children meet a lot of new people, make friends with them, learn to work together. They have time to do the sport, too.
Ann: I think you are right, Tom. I’ll send my children to school.

Анна: Ты знаешь, Том, я не уверена, что школа это лучшее место для образования.
Том: Не уверена? Почему? Это традиционное место, где дети изучают различные предметы.
Анна: Ты прав, так и есть. Но ты не думаешь, что родители знают своего ребенка намного лучше и могут создать свою собственную программу, чтобы обучить своего сына или дочь.
Том: Я не думаю, что это всегда так. Родители разные. Не все из них смогут рассказать ребенку о мире и людях.
Анна: Это правда. Но школа начинается в 8 утра. Если ваша семья живет далеко от школы, ребенку нужно вставать очень рано, чтобы быть вовремя на его ил ее занятиях. Дома дети спят дольше. Они много веселятся и радуются своим урокам.
Том: Я знаю, что в Америке достаточно много детей занимаются дома, но я не думаю, что обучение дома это хорошая идея. В школе дети встречают много новых людей, заводят дружбу с ними, учатся работать вместе. У них есть время также заниматься спортом.
Анна: Я думаю, ты прав, Том. Я отправлю своего ребенка в школу.
